I’m Zachary Rethorn.

I believe I’m made to cultivate flourishing in people and systems through reverent attention, deep affection, and imaginative care. I’ve never found that calling confined to one kind of work. It shows up when I’m helping someone heal, teaching and writing, making something with my hands, studying how a system shapes human lives, lingering over a painting or poem, cooking for people I love, or learning to inhabit a place more fully.

I’m interested in what becomes possible when we pay close attention to what is here, learn to love it well, and take responsibility for its flourishing.
